This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or use our booking-inquiry form, and how we use and protect it.
Who we are
Kuldīgas Apartamenti is the controller responsible for your personal data. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Information we collect
When you send an inquiry we collect your name, email, phone number (if provided), chosen dates, number of guests, the apartment you selected, and your message.
Connection and browser signals are used briefly to calculate a secret-keyed abuse-prevention fingerprint. Your raw IP address is not stored, logged, or returned.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We use your data to reply to your inquiry and prepare a possible reservation (steps prior to a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Spam prevention and aggregate website measurement rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, useful website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How inquiries are handled
Inquiries are sent to us by email and you receive an automatic acknowledgement. We use the provider Resend to deliver email; it acts as our data processor.
Cookies and tracking
Our CMS counts page views and limited action categories, such as language selection and starting an inquiry. These analytics events contain no names, contact details, stay dates or messages.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure visits and loading performance. Data includes referrer, browser and country. Its cookieless visitor identifier lasts at most 24 hours.
Your language choice is stored in a cookie for one year. Selected dates and guest count are stored in your browser to carry them between pages. Clear them in the stay controls or your browser’s site-data settings.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. Resend processes inquiry data needed for email delivery. Vercel provides website hosting and the analytics described above.
How long we keep it
After 180 days we irreversibly anonymize the inquiry: we remove the name, email, phone, message, stay dates, internal notes, abuse-prevention fingerprint, and email-provider identifiers. We keep only timestamps, status, language, property and apartment categories, and delivery attempt, success, and failure counts.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (Latvia).
