We don't just rent beds — we look after two living monuments of the old town. In the former Chess Club, where World Junior Champion Dana Reizniece-Ozola once trained, and in the Photographer's house on the pedestrian street, the breath of another era still lingers. Every apartment has been restored with respect for Kuldīga's wooden-architecture traditions.

The house stands in the centre of Kuldīga's old town, next to the Town Garden and the Venta rapid. Until 2007 the reconstructed building housed Kuldīga's chess club, where World Junior Champion Dana Reizniece-Ozola trained. The wooden building was restored following the old town's building traditions: history outside, modern comfort inside.

The name comes from a photography studio that worked here at the turn of the 20th century — an inscription in the hallway still remembers it.
